Terms of Service
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms are a binding agreement between you and Mani Pratap, trading as Decova, an individual based in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India (“Decova”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Decova website, app and every feature in it, including room redesigns, floor plans, photo-real renders and cost estimates (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms and the policies they link to. If you don’t accept them, don’t use the service.
1. Who can use Decova
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. If you use Decova for a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business, and “you” includes it.
2. Your account
Give accurate details and keep your sign-in details secret. Tell us at support@decova.app at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity on your account until you tell us.
3. Your photos and designs
- You keep all rights to the photos and information you upload.
- You confirm that you own the photos or have permission to use them, and that uploading them doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights or privacy.
- You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, copy and process your uploads only to provide the service to you (creating designs, showing them to you, keeping them safe). We don’t use your photos to train AI models and we don’t sell them.
- Subject to these terms and to payment, designs you create after buying a credit pack are yours to use, including commercially. Designs made without a pack carry a watermark and are for personal evaluation only.
- Designs are generated by AI. They may contain errors, may resemble images made for other users, and may not be protected by copyright in every country. We don’t promise that a design is unique.
4. Floor plans and cost estimates are concepts only
Floor plans, Vastu checks, photo-real renders and cost estimates are produced automatically, with the help of AI, from the details you enter. They are concept material to help you think about a home. They are not architectural, structural or engineering drawings, not a quotation or valuation, not professional advice, and not approved by any authority. Before you build, buy materials or apply for approval, a licensed architect or engineer must prepare and sign the drawings, and you must check local building rules yourself.
Cost estimates combine this plan’s measured quantities with average building costs: built-in averages for each country and, where available, a local figure researched by AI from public web sources. These figures can be out of date or wrong, and real costs vary with the design, site, specifications, materials, labour and market. Use an estimate only for early budgeting. Before making any financial decision, consult a qualified architect, civil engineer or quantity surveyor and obtain written quotations from licensed contractors.
5. Real estate use
If you use designs to market property, you must follow the advertising and consumer laws that apply to you (for example RERA rules in India, or MLS rules, FTC guidance and state law in the United States). In particular: disclose virtually staged photos (the “Virtually staged” label), keep the original photo available on request, and never use Decova to hide or remove defects such as cracks, damp or damage.
6. Credits and payment
- Features cost credits. Each action shows its cost before you confirm it.
- Credits come in one-time packs. There is no subscription and nothing renews: you pay only when you buy a pack. Every pack includes every feature.
- Pack credits are valid for 12 months from the day you buy them; unused credits expire after that. Free credits given at sign-up pay for floor plans only and don’t expire. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred or sold.
- Prices are shown before tax. Taxes (18% GST in India, or the local tax where you live) are added at checkout. Payments are processed by a payment provider; card details go to that provider and never reach us. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
- We may change prices or what a feature costs in credits. A price change never affects a pack you have already bought.
7. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content, pause designs or suspend accounts that break it.
8. Copyright and content complaints
If you believe content on Decova infringes your copyright or other rights, email abuse@decova.app with: your contact details, the work you say is infringed, where the content is on Decova, and a statement that the information is accurate and that you own the right or act for its owner. We act on valid notices under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and, where they apply, the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. We may remove the content and will tell the user who uploaded it, who may reply with a counter-notice.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Decova available but don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or withdraw features. We’ll give at least 30 days’ notice of a change that significantly reduces what a credit pack includes. Credits you already have keep working until they expire.
10. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t give any warranty, express or implied, that designs, plans, checks or estimates are accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose, or comply with any building rule. You decide how to use them, and you are responsible for that decision.
11. Limitation of liability
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, however it arises.
- Our total liability for all claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or ₹5,000 (or its equivalent in your currency) if that is more.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Indemnity
You will compensate us for claims, losses and reasonable costs that arise because you uploaded content you had no right to use, or used the service in breach of these terms or the law.
13. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Privacy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where the breach can be fixed. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimer, liability, indemnity, law and disputes) continue after your account ends.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with its date, and post significant changes at least 14 days before they apply. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please email support@decova.app so we can try to resolve the issue within 30 days. Otherwise, the courts at Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your own country or district.
16. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to a company that takes over the service, and we’ll tell you if we do. These terms and the linked policies are the whole agreement between us about the service.
17. Contact
Questions about these terms: support@decova.app. Complaints and grievances: our Grievance Officer, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
